    This was taken last summer. Though I didn't need this much shutter speed for this shot, I did that in anticipation of capturing a take off shot.

    great portrait of the male Peregrine Binu, some parts (feathers along the feet) show over sharpening artifacts (jagged edges ans halos), fix these and you will have a killer portrait

    Hi Arash; Dan;

    Thanks for the C&C! Yes, I agree that it was a bit over-sharpened. I've tried to fix it.

    What beautiful light you had.IQ is excellent.
    Great low POV and I love the clean sand at the feet.
    I will be like Goldilocks and say that the OP is a bit too sharp but the repost isn't sharp enough. I would go somewhere between the 2!!

    A nice clean image. I agree with Gail's that I would sharpen just a tad more the 2nd repost. I would also maybe darken the eye a bit? It seems a bit greyish I think? There is also a slight yellow cast? but this may be my monitor a work. Other than that, this is a great image.

    Lucky you with such a great sighting on clean sand like this. I love the talon showing nicely. Good light, and the touch of green in the BG adds a lot. For sure I would darken the pupil here.

    Thanks again, everyone!

    I've sharpened the image a bit more and darkened the eye. Hope it looks better now.

    This is a great look at this Beautiful adult Peregrine falcon. I really like the pose and the Multi colored background. The real low shooting angle adds to the Great look of this Photo. The details and techs look great, but for the life of me, it looks like the nictitating membrane is closed. Look at your files and see if the other frames all look like this. Let me know I'd be interested find out. Great shooting as always Binu

    Thanks David! You are right. I checked the RAW file and the nictitating membrane is almost closed! No wonder why you always get awesome shots of raptors. You know your subjects well.

    Hey Binu
    Thanksfor getting back to me with that information. Yep, it looked like it's just about closed with a hair of it open.
    glad we figured out what was going on there because all the darkening and sharpening of the puple still would not have helped it.
    Keep em coming.
