Not too long ago I posted a male cardinal, now here is the female's turn to shine among the snowflakes. Looks like she caught a bit of a gust of wind here!

Canon 7D + 500mm f/4 II + 1.4TC, manual exposure, evaluative metering, 1/320s., f/5.6, ISO 800, natural light, handheld, about 80% FF, darkened the pupil, darkened an area of pale gray along the bottom, NR to BG.

Lovely shot Daniel ! Shows how a "not perfect "head angle can be just as attractive.

I really like the vertical comp and the simple perch.
I love the different sized snowflakes and the SS gave a nice effect.
Nice and saucy, perky head tilt as well.
IQ and feather detail topnotch as always,
    Gail

Superb image with great wintery mood to it. I like the comp, the HA and snow flakes. The bird is a beauty for sure.

Another perfect exposure in natural light Daniel, colors look rich and natural, detail is superb... and I rather like the head tilt. Lovely image, very well done.
