Chasing one of these while hand holding the 500 over the water and manually focusing is what I like to call work!! But a lot of fun at the same time... don't get me wrong, I love every moment of it. This image was also made from my recent outing at Ft. Desoto.

    Shooting Solution
    Camera: Nikon D300
Lens: Sigma 500 f/4.5, manually focused
    Manual Exposure, 1/1600 @ f/8, ISO 400
Hand held bending over above water

    Thanks for looking!

Comments welcome and much appreciated :)

Oh, I saw them too, great bokeh in this image, good catch light and light and the hairdo is a bonus :)

Great angle, light and colors, maybe a tad oversharpened.

    Hey Blake,

I almost missed this one. Love the low angle, light, colors and composition. Keep up the good work!

This is what I call a cool waterbird image. Very nice eye contact.
