    Default Red-breasted Mergansers

Have not seen any migrating Red-breasted Mergansers this season, so as I was editing some past images, I came across this one which was captured on a local lake. This day there were plenty of Red-breasted Mergansers fishing in close proximity to Double-crested Cormorants. These three might have picked up speed as they passed the Cormorant. C&C welcome.

Interesting to see the various molting patterns on the faces. Good to have head separation between all the subjects. I suppose we could imagine the cormorant is "snubbing" the mergansers but I still would have preferred its head angled towards us or at least parallel.
