I spent an enjoyable hour watching these beautiful birds hover and dive for fish, they actually didn't seem to catch very many, but it was fun to watch. This one is coming out of the water after missing his target once again. These birds dive so quickly I didn't get any keepers of the best action, but I will keep trying. Taken at Bolsa Chica Wetlands, So. Cal.

Your close, a good shot a litttle soft but still good.

Very nice pose and eye contact. The bird could be a bit sharper and I might go for a less square crop.

Good timing and wing positions. I really like the splash!

    Kirk,

It is hard to get the dive but keep trying. Agree on a more horizontal crop suggestion. Exposure and wing position AOK.

Great pose and whites, could go either vertical or fully horizontal for my taste.
