    Default Redhead Pair

This species has been a nemesis bird for me; it is not common in my neck of the woods. While birding in SE Arizona last week I mentioned this to a local birder, whose tip lead me to this cooperative pair. A drizzly morning offered decent light. Some may wish for a head turn in my direction from the drake. I have a frame like that, but I rather liked the way his attention is focused on his mate in this frame. C&C appreciated.

Wow this is really nice Bill.
Love the BG colors and the fact that both ducks are both tack sharp. Great POV.
    IQ is excellent.
    Well done,
    Gail

Great job getting both birds sharp with plenty of details. IT's nice to see them in different poses.

Hi Bill, great low shooting angle and love that both are looking at each other. I also like how we can see the different colours on both sexes. Lovely pastel blues to the water, and the visible droplets on both ducks takes this up a few notches. Well captured.

Marvelous job, I like your decision to go with the drake looking at his mate. Beautiful, soft and tranquil image.

A real beauty Bill! I like the IQ, light, details, composition and having the pair makes the image special.

Awesome image! If I could change one thing it would be to drop the frame just a touch lower to show the full reflections.

Thanks everyone. Joe, I tried a crop with more of the reflection, but since the reflection was far less than mirror-like, it seemed to distract from the beautiful redheads.
