    Default Wigeon Call

I captured this image at a local pond where a Eurasian Wigeon had been sighted for the past month or so. I ended up with some nice shots of two Wigeon species.

    Critique appreciated.

Very nice species and shot Walker. I like the soft bg and detail on the wigeon, but the white area near the tail appears to be blown out. Can you reduce the hightlights here?

Love the calling pose, the eye contact and your super low shooting angle. The BG color is terrific. Details look great too.
Agree with Luis about the whites appearing hot. I'd try to tame them if possible. Not sure if you cloned anything out of the image, but I'd do some clean up in front of the bird where the water merges into the BG. Would also evict some of the larger spots (bottom right corner, another one right by the neck in front of the bird...)

I like the open bill, BG, low angle and composition. Good suggestions above to improve this beauty. Well done Walker.

Thanks for the feedback, I will work on the highlights and spot cleanup.

    Thanks again.
