When my wife and I saw this in the produce section of the Whole Foods, we both knew it would serve two purposes. It was delicious, and I hope you will find it an interesting subject.
This was a stack of 64 images and then simply converted to BW with a lot of the blue channel and very little of the other two, and then sharpened.

Very cool Ron, I would have thought it was fractal art. The patterns created remind me of MC Escher. My only suggestion might be is to clone that one to tip to match the rest of the image. Great black and white conversion and great to see you in OOTB!

Well that's just plain cool! I like it a lot. The simple b&w treatment keeps the eye focused on the incredible patterns of this edible image. The organic/graphic look works well for me.

Wow! Dramatic. I like that I can't tell what it is, nor its size--a geologic formation? A rock? Other? Works really well in B&W. Wonderful sharpness. Question: What is the narrow band around the upper edge, especially noticeable on the right-most peak?

    Thanks, all.
Anita, I think that is a sharpening artefact. I will work to further tone it down/remove it, thanks!

All of the above! So many images, so much work, so worth it!

This is amazing! A real feast for the eyes of interesting shapes and patterns, and black and white is so striking. Excellent work!

Beautiful: looks like hundreds of little jewels. Great conversion to B&W.

I love this image. What a fantastic macro idea. Like everyone said, it's a delight to look at. You picked a great composition.

I would have never thought this was broccoli, if you hadn't said so. I am going to ask my wife to buy some next time she does groceries. Very nice work and thanks for posting this. Great idea for a theme, "the foods we eat"
