Some nice soft lighting on the fine looking deer. Nice detail in the animal. I like the OOF FG leaves, sorta frames the subject. BG is a bit busy but the only things that really distract me are the bright branches in the lower right since they are at a diagonal and really attract your eye. The branch coming out of the deers ear is also distracting. If you're so inclined you may like to clone them out.

Hi Sanjeev - the deer is sharp and has good detail on the face but I'm not sure this one is really working for me. I find the oof foliage in the lower left over the body to be distracting and the flowers in the upper left drawing the eye. Perhaps a more vertical crop of the head and neck would work better than the square comp by eliminating some of these distracting elements. Dale has made some excellent points too. Finally, if it was mine I would darken the greens of the foliage and reduce the cyan coming through on the whites of the deer. Sorry, just my thoughts.

Hi Sanjeev, I'm away so can't comment on colour, however...

I agree that perhaps the square format is not quite working as well as perhaps the more 'traditional' portrait option. If it was me I might go tighter with a portrait crop and also it may eliminate some of the points raised by Dale & Rachel. The IQ looks good so cropping in should be OK. The brown branches in the BKG are not ideal and not condoning cloning, it does make a difference here, but your call. I do like the body coming in from the LHS and leading you up with that long neck, head on pose works well I feel.

Thanks everyone. Steves RP has improved this image a lot. I liked the eye contact here and the vertical crop does emphasise that. Can't do much about the foliage as this is how our Jungles are

Sanjeev here is the RP, obviously in cropping it has lost some IQ sadly, but you get the idea.
