    Default Flexing muscle - BIF!

Personally this one I just kept in the archive purely down to the size of subject in frame, it's just too BIG IMHO (Big in Frame), it really needed to have been shot in landscape and without the 1.4 with more space ALL around, the 200-400f/4 would have been the preferred choice of lens, but this is always with hindsight. This is the middle chick who was just starting to understand the concept of wings and what they can do, caught just in mid flex.

This is FF on the width, but have cropped more off both top & bottom, although I decided to use a square format this time, IMHO it just fitted the bill???

Thanks for either viewing or commenting on the previous image.

Awesome shot Steve, though its a bit big in frame, I like it as you have a unique pose, great detail and sharpness. Very nice colours too. BTW are you retiring your 500 f/4?? Looks like you like the 200-400 quiet a bit!

LOL Sanjeev, the 500 would have to be surgically removed, know any good surgeons?

Seriously those two are always with me on the 1DX's now, and they will be flying out with me tomorrow along with some other bits.

    All the best.

Like the view of talons, sharp details, colors look a bit dull to me, you ,ay want to increase saturation/raise the color temperature a bit

I like the pose and the nice green BG Steve. The techs and details look great too and I like the fact that we can see the eye well.. I like it!

Fun pose. I love how owlets always play with their tootsies. I would warm it up a few points and add a tad of sharpening.
