This is from a late afternoon session at my favorite pond last May. I was fortunate enough to have four BNS chicks who were very brave and loved the camera. Love when that happens.

All C&C are greatly encouraged and most appreciated. Thanks for looking at what I love to do.

Love the gradients on the BG...Wonderful.! I would have included more of the disturbed water behind the legs and it needs more sharpening IMHO..

Love this one Kirk. The details on the chick are perfect and the BG wonderful. I think the chick is sharpened enough. I think if you over sharpen a chick, it then loses the 'fluffyness' Good work Thanks for sharing

How cute...those little raised wings make for an extra special image. Excellent colours throughout, especially the wonderful BG. Maybe just a bit of haze showing in the pupil, so for that reason I'd be tempted to darken it. There is nothing more fun than encountering a few tame individuals eh!

Beautiful, I like everything about it. The raised little wings are an added bonus.

Thanks everyone for the kind words and thoughtful feedback. Don, I've been guilty in the past of over-sharpening a bit, so I'm careful about that... the head probably could use a bit more sharpening and be okay. Thank you. Daniel, I appreciate the feedback on the slight haze on the pupil. Well seen.

Gorgeous image of cute little one with tiny wings. Wonderful colors in the frame. Absolutely superb BG.
