    Right after a thunderstorm in the late afternoon at Candaba wetlands (Philippines), this nocturnal hunter came out earlier than usual. I had to take off the 1.4x TC from my 500 f4 to get a bit faster shutter speed in the low light. :)

    1DM2 + 500 f4 IS, ISO 800, f/4, 1/500 sec, IS off, manual exposure, 475B/3421 support, near full frame.

    WOWO!!!!! That is one impressive image, Romy. The head turn and eye contact are spectacular, not to mention the smooth BG.
    To me, the blurred wing is a plus!
