    A subject I find difficult to shoot due to the contrast and lack of detail in the smooth whites of the beak. Still, here's a recent one trying to skate over the ice from a couple of days ago

    I like the pose and the setting, I have just applied curves and pulled down the central point - it looks a little better to my eye. Regarding the bill a linear burn may help.

    Thanks Jonathan, only learning PS so I'll look into what a linear burn entails!
