One of the last Snowy Owls I photographed at Chincoteague NWR in Virginia in January 2014. I never thought I'd be able to see one of these Owls in my lifetime and I certainly never thought I would be able to photograph one bathing. I was fortunate to find 13 of them during their visit in 2013-2014 and this is how it ended. The shoreline does bother me in the upper left of the image but because I like to leave my images natural I learned from it.
Excellent theme image!! I'm OK with the shoreline, it puts a bit of context into the image of how close to shore the owl was. I love the peeking eye and wet pose. There is a bit of a whitish haze along the bottom edge of the frame that you could burn darker. Thanks for sharing this awesome observation!
