Taken from a kayak this weekend, early morning, near an Egret and GBH rookery on the Coosa River in Gadsden, Alabama. 1 D mk II, 100-400 @ 400, 1/1600 @ F 5.6, ISO 500, fill flash -1 1/3.
Very nice pose, underwing detail and setting. The bird looks a bit soft and the whites between the wings are overexposed.
Agree with Axel's points. Bird could use some sharpening and some highlight work. I would desat the BG a little also. Robert
