This image was captured on a large inland marine lagoon, about an hours drive north of Cape Town in the West Coast National Park. The proximity of the waders depends on the tide. The higher the tide, the closer the birds. This Flamingo kept this pose as he walked across the front of the hide. A clearer reflection would have been the cherry on the top. Taken early morning.

A super shot, Stu! Nothing to distract and a beautiful reflection. I like the fact that the reflection is not too smooth because it now makes the pic look 'real'.

Sweet pose and nice soft morning light. I agree with you that a perfect reflection would put the image over the top. Very nice frame, Stu.

Love the light and the simpleness of this image.
Agree with you about the reflection but still a great shot.
I really like the convoluted neck position and the shade of blue in the water. It compliments the pinks very well.

Hi Stu - great pose and colors here. The blue bg really sets off the flamingo. Vertical comp was the way to go. Too bad about the reflection but by no means a deal breaker for me.

Wonderful pose and colors! I love the "seamless" BG. Looks like you are low but you must be looking down on endless water, maybe merging with sky?

beautiful frame Stuart. I really like the form of this perfect individual and the colors are fantastic against that nice blue BG. The techs and details look great as always. I tried doing a screen scroll and it looks pretty good to me without the reflection also. Well done.
