    Default Bald Eagle Trying To Get Grass

    This Bald Eagle and it's mate have been getting their nest ready, and was trying for all it was worth to get some grass for the nest.




    Canon 6D and Tamron 150-600
    Handheld
    552mm
    f/11
    1/1600
    cropped
    sharpened, contrast added in photoshop

    This is a great laugh -- he's trying so hard! Not what we think of for such a noble bird!! Hope he succeeded!

    You might consider backing off the contrast just a little. Would love to see more!

    Thanks for the tip, and he managed to get a small amount of grass. He worked on it for a good 5-10 minutes, and tried several different ways.

    Great photo! I need my subjects to stay still or else I can't get a sharp shot. Nice to see detail in both the bright snow and in the dark feathers.

    always nice to see unique positions, contrast is a little harsh but good sharpness and DOF. good story told!
