I was out at the local loch this morning only to discover that most of it was covered in ice. I managed to get a few flight shots as the ducks flew over the ice. Thanks for having a look

Great sharpness in the head area and excellent details in the close wing, Williams. Like the hint of the tuft shown.

Hi William, well exposed on the whites, and the near underwing, and great that we can see a hint of the purple sheen at the front of his head. Great eye, stands out nicely. I only wish for a better wing position.

Love the sharpness but agree with Stuart on a better wing position. I wonder of you could pull out a bit more detail in the neck?

Good and sharp I like the near wing the far wing slightly less than ideal. The eye and bill very good, I too wonder about a tad more lift to the neck area.

I processed this image using DPP and ACR and in this particular case I much preferred the ACR version.
I know some may not like the feather..... but I did! I used the spot healing brush to remove many OOF feathers, but in my defence I cannot recall ever seeing a duck on ice without seeing at least one feather!
    All C&C welcome.
