Hand held (sort of) Canon 1DX Canon 500mm f4 L IS. I keep having troubles with the collar on my 500m, I have discovered that underneath the foot and inside the lens there are small screws that keep coming loose, a quick tighten and then all is well for a few months. I hand held the lens resting on the tripod as best I could.

It must of been frustrating to have your lens collar coming loose at such an inopportune moment. You did a great job of almost hand holding, looks plenty sharp to me. The light is wonderful and brings the females' head right to my eye. I'm not familiar with this duck, but wonder if there is some detail in the dark head feathers that you might be able to bring out.

Great interaction image, Jon. The male has beautiful plumage and the head of the female showing tells the story.
