Thank you for commenting on my previous Snowy Owl images. Still going thru the files and trying to find my best of the series.

    Owl was attracted with food
Near FF, cropped a little bit all around except RHS.
Cloned out 2 stalks of dry grass in the FG (I wasn't going to do it, but decided to make this frame clean of distracting elements)

The 100-400 II is an amazing lens for close up work. There would be no way for me to get this frame with hand holding the 500f4.

Great fun shooting with Daniel that day.

    Thank you for your comments.

You certainly nailed this one Loi.

My first though was it may be a little tight in the frame, but it's the eyes and face that rule this shot for me, so the wings close to the edges become much less of an issue than normal.

Nice details all round, superb work

Nice work (fun). love the sharp face and BG. I just ordered a 100-400 II for my 7D II, but they are backordered, can't wait :(

It was fun indeed. Nice incoming pose, and the darker upper BG helps separate the subject from it. I'd be tempted to saturate the eyes a tad more, those cloudy days really dull up those irises compared to sun!
