This sanderling bath was the longest and most extreme bath I have ever photographed. The light was harsh but the action and behavior made up for it. Loved seeing its little tail feathers up in the air as though the peep were displaying them for me.

C & C are always welcomed and much appreciated.

A unique pose so beautifully captured. Love the shooting angle and flying droplets. I couldn't tell the light was harsh - nicely handled. My eyes keep wanting a CCW rot, but that's almost certainly an illusion. Very nicely done Marina and looking forward to more. TFS

Extreme it is. A wonderful bathing pose, and nicely captured. Light looks fine to me.

Hi Marina, I like the raised butt showing off all the feathers in this bathing behaviour. Love the whites and browns of the Sanderling against the darker blues of the water, and this certainly doesnt look like harsh light.

Lovely capture Marina, I do agree with you about the light. Fab pose and POV though, which more than makes up for the light Good work Thanks for sharing

I love watching them bathing. The pose is special here; interesting moment captured with the spread feathers. Light is indeed nicely handled. Well done, Marina.

Beautiful pose Marina, the droplets have fallen perfectly for you as well, all the important areas are clear, with plenty of water in the air to showcase the action

Hi Marina, love the pose and the tail feathers. Had you not said it, I wouldn't have guessed the light was harsh. Good job with controlling the white. The BG is a bit dark, but now I understand why. TFS. Loi

I like the downward angle it's showing as it splashes around along with the raised tail. Maybe a slight CCW rotation?

A fun image to view, Marina. What a pose, not often captured. If you have room , it might make a fun vertical also, just to try for something really different that emphasises the pose. I might de-sat the blues just a touch.

Beautiful bathing pose Marina! Love the fanned tail and the laid down head with the great eye contact. The techs look right on too. I'm glad they aren't letting moderators in the themes contest, otherwise we would be blow out of the water with this one!! Very nice frame.
Oh, yes to some rotation also :)

Fantastic pose Marina! That is extreme indeed. You handled the light beautifully as we cannot tell that it was harsh. I too feel some CCW would strengthen the image, but boy oh boy that is a fun one!
