Very nice !
I like the angle of the body and the low POV.Great look at the tuft.
Good light allowed for a very nice exposure on the blacks although the whites on the belly near the water are a bit hot.
I might move the duck a bit lower in the frame to get rid of one of the repeating reflections.
I am thinking the eye area could be sharpened a little bit.

nice low angle and light, the IQ is not great however, it is lacking in details. My guess is RAW was very soft or out of focus.
It seems like you still have not been able to solve the sharpness problems with your 7D2, why don't you send it back to Canon for service? getting this frame sharp should be really easy.

There is so many sending back, and even having to send replacements back. I am hoping Canon comes up with firmware

If I were you, until it gets fixed, I would use another body instead of wasting such great opportunities ... something that looks this soft at small size must be totally OOF, not a keeper in my book.

Nailing the exposure for a subject with dark and bright feathers is not easy, but you did it very nicely here. I agree with Gail on sharpening the eye more. Lovely light, POV and colors. Well done!

Hi William,
I hate to say it but I am seeing the same thing as Arash. The image looks overall a bit soft and lacking fine feather detail. As I mentioned before, these basic duck floating by shots should be really sharp, but they are not. I'm sure it isn't you as was suspecting before.
It shouldn't be that hard to get a sharp shot. Good advice also about using a backup until you get things figured out. Sure would be a bummer to be out shooting and have something great happen in front of you and be disappointed to find out that this opportunity was blown because the frame was soft.
Good luck. I know you have good skills, but if your equipment isn't right, I don't care who it is, you won't get sharp frames. Same thing happened to Doug Brown as I think you know.
