There were 2 ospreys bathing together and I tried to get both in focus with an Av of 11. Didn't work so I started shooting just one at a time.
I was tempted to go for a square crop with this.
    Small crop,levels, USM to JPEG.

The look on the Osprey's face is priceless. Wonderful image, IQ perfect as always. Thank you for sharing.

Super image, details and behavior. I might take a tad off of the bottom. Love that straight on look too!

Love this wet face and the character it gives to the bird. I like the composition as it is and the very exposure. Well done.

What an unusual shot. Terrific is a good way to describe it! Great detail, as we'd all expect, no nits at ll from me.

I'll second the caption competition idea!

I can see how a square crop might be tempting on this one. I'm glad you kept the original ratio though, square crops almost always look off to me. Sharpness, colors, exposure perfect as expected. I would have liked to see a lower angle if it was possible. The centered comp is great!

    Well done

    Gorgeous image, Grace.
Superb exposure in whites, great IQ and composition.
Though feathers are untidy, looks quite artistic. Love his look, hair style and water ripples and droplets.
Agree with your previous comments, sure, theme of this months is for girl's.

    Satish.

Very nice Gail. It has a very even and symmetrical look to it. Even the wet chest feathers seem to be lined up right. The way the wing buts are flared, the even ripple and the centered comp make this one so symmetrical that I really like it. Well done
