American Wigeon.
I realize it is tight, but this is 100% full frame, not a pixel removed, just a luck in camera composure.
This is why I really like shooting with a Zoom lens.
You have to be quick, but is fun to see what you can come up with.
I wish I had a bit of head turn, But I still liked the image....
Awesome pose with great lines and curves. Nice colours too, and the water action adds a lot. Yes to being tight at left. When I re-attach my 100-400 I appreciate the versatility of the zoom, which I often miss when working with the 500.
Love it man! Superb colors, perfect wing positiong, great sharpness, detail and focus! Love the water splash aswell it adds a lot to the image. I agree a bit too tight in the left, would add a bit of canvas with a little bit of patiance I think it can be done.
Always love a good flap and this one is excellent. Nice low point of view and a lovely subject.
Stretching the frame behind the bird (Artie's method) should easily remedy the tightness there.
Beautiful wing flap captured, with great bg colors. Definitely a case where zooming out a bit would have helped; easier said than done in the midst of a wing flap. Worth adding a bit of canvas. Lovely shot.
