    Default Nuzzling Zebras

This cape mountain zebra mare and foal was captured at mountain zebra national park, south africa, a great place for photographing wildlife as one often has magnificent bg's.

    Hi Charles

I think this is a very lovely picture. I really like it. You have captured the mother and her call in a very sweet situation, and I love the nature, background and colors.

    Very very good.

This is a beautiful image Charles, great interaction between the pair, and a great view of the landscape as well. The overall shot looks a little muted on my screen, maybe a touch of brightening up might help, although I appreciate this might be true to how the scene was on the day.

Either way, it's a lovely tender moment and I could definitely see this one hung on a wall

Hi Charles a very nice tender moment captured with this image !! All set in a pleasing landscape .
I like the overall color and tone , i am with Mike regarding overall brightness but it could have been this way while shooting . I might try open up (if it stays this way ) the shadows slightly . There is a tad too much dead space on RHS and a bit tight on LHS , just my feeling .
Have you added a vignette or does the new 100- 400 provide vignetting at F 7.1 ? I guess you can address that within camera settings to avoid that if not want to have the vignetting .

But this are just minor things , still a great image worth to explore full potential if wished .

    Hello Charles,

A very vivid and memorable image. Lovely colours, but I tend to agree with Mike and Andreas, the shadows seem a bit too dark, subjects could/should stand out a bit more, WDYT?

Sorry to be so brief, going on holiday tomorrow but I could not help it - had to have a look - enjoyed viewing this, will catch up when back and I hope to see more images from you:)

    Kind regards,
    Gabriela Plesea

One of my favourite parks as well, Charles. You did it justice here, lovely scene and moment.
I agree with others above that the exposure overall looks just a tad suboptimal?

Hi Charles - A very tender moment and I like the inclusion of the habitat and mountains in the bg. I agree with the others that the image is a bit dark.

    Hi All

Thanks for the comments and critiques. I've added some exposure in this repost and agree that the original was a bit dark. Andreas, I did add the vignette (personal taste) but it did not look good once i added some exposure so have taken that away. WDYT?

Nice inclusion of habitat and good interaction in this image. A fine image for sure!
