You certainly had a nice time with this guy/gal.
The light you have is excellent, attractive BG, maybe a bit of a head turn would have been nice....

that is great detail and BG really sets it off, thanks for sharing. I am surprised at the detail with only 1/1250. We have these wintering here in California now and enjoying them a lot!

Lovely pose, exposure, BG and comp. Nice soft light too. Agree with Dan on the HA.

Fabulous take off shot! Excellent exposure, BG and pose! Yes, a better HA could make it better.

Excellent shot wonderful detail, just maybe a little brightening around the eye area would help address the not quite ideal head angle?

excellent take off frame, dynamic pose and sharp details take it to the top. The HA actually works for me since there is good eye contact. I wouldn't change anything here. superb frame as is

Hi Steve, love the full downstroke of the wings in this, and overall, nice and sharp. The Hawk pops very well from the darker BG.

I think I recognize this raptor and perch! Lovely take off pose with a killer BG that really shows off this bird.

Beautiful image with great dramatic colors.
Love the wing position and the simple thin perch. IQ is excellent.
I would have loved a better HA but still a wonderful shot,

Amazing shot with a great mood to it. I like the dark bg and the perch. The wing position is spot on but I can't help to imagine this shot with a little head turn...
