Default Caught in a compromising position

We first came across an impala kill that had been killed and most of it almost eaten. With no signs of anything around I left the vehicle to have a look at the remains of what looked like a cheetah kill. It had been killed a few hours before and we carried on down the road to find a mother and three sub adults lying in a drainage line 200m away. After spending 15 or so minutes with them the youngsters decided to head back to the kill. this youngster was the first to make a move.

This was a cloudy dull morning with poor light but the rain a few days before hand had already made an impact on the grass.

    Hi Carl

Nice one, even if it is compromising situation. I think you handle tech and pp good. I would maybe try to include more on the lhs to get the cheetah less center, if you have it.

The Cheetah nicely pops from the green environs here Carl. Nicely captured and processed. Good details and comp.

Hi Carl - It looks good for such a high ISO. Nice rainy season colors. I agree a touch more on the left would take it up a notch. I like that we can see the musculature of the cheetah.

    Hi Carl,

as well love the rainy touch in this image. A tad more room on the left as mentioned would improve

    Have a great day

    Ciao Anette

Hi Carl you caught him in a unfortunate position , not very nice from you .
Nice IQ for the ISO , but with the 1Dx no problem .
Personally i would step back with NR , but that is just me . Colors are also a matter of taste , i would go less on a cloudy dull day , as i said my preference . Not much you can do about the busy BG , so no deal breaker .
Are you coming along with the 1Dx now ?
I am close to get the 500 or 600 , have a great offer for the 600 not much more than the 500 . I have to make a decision .

    TFS Andreas
