Captured at Ft. DeSoto a couple of weeks ago. I'd just come down from -9 degrees in Boston, so 68 degrees and a little fog seemed like mid-summer to me. I managed to get this feeding shot at just the right time.

    Tripod mounted Nikon D4 with 600 mm. 1/1,250 sec.@f7.1, iso 640

Pushed up contrast a little, DE on the bird only, sharpening and NR of bird only, cloned out a few pieces of stuff in the water and darkened up the eye. Also added a little selective saturation.

Thanks for looking and all comments appreciated.

Great action stuff, John Simiar to my Greenshank with the stickleback a while back. Like the high key effect and blurred reflection. It does look slightly over sharpened to me.
    Fine image whatever.

Thanks John, I agree with you on the sharpening, think I got carried away a bit there.
