Portrait of a YBHB with a corn kernel in its beak. I wish I had more DOF (by raising the ISO to 800) to get the tip in focus but thats in hind sight. I liked the detail and the eye.

nice head shot Sanjeev, it's too tight in the frame and I wish the tip of the bill was in focus too

    Hi Sanjeev
Comp looks fine to me. I like close ups and I think as such they should be just that- close up. It's a pity about the beak end. Can you do anything with it ? Detail in the rest is amazing.
    Cheers
    John

I don't mind the close comp either, just wish the bird was more parallel to the sensor or you had opened up for more DOF. Nice frame either way.

I have to agree with the others. I think you could have gotten away with the tip of the beak being OOF if the kernel of corn had not been there.
The corn is an important element of the image and because it is OOF it hurts the image.
    Everything else is topnotch though,
    Gail

Gail just took the words out of my mouth. I felt the same way, that corn at the end of the beak is what cause you to wish for my DOF. I also feel is a bit too tight and would add more space all around. Apart from this, its a nice image with good detail and sharpness where the focus is.

Excellent close up, Sanjeev. Beautiful colors and nice details around beautiful eye.
Agree with you, should have goan for high ISO and smaller f stop.

    Regards,
    Satish.
