Hi all this month theme is almost over so thought i would put one last in the ring .Maybe i have a chance .........

Image was taken in a secret place in Africa .

    Canon EOS 1D MKIV
    EF 500 IS L
    Window bracket

    F 8 ; Iso 250 ; 1/400 sec

Processed with DPP 4 and PS CC ; cropped for comp ; image was already well exposed to the right without blowing the HL , most was done with dodging and some lumo masks .

Thanks for watching and leaving comment to my previous thread

    Cheers Andreas

Lovely scene and great textures, I think I would love to see this one in standard colour. A seeing a bit of motion blur on the head? It doesn't look as sharp as the rest of the body.

Ooohps Dumay , thanks for your feedback and your well seen point regarding sharpness .
I just forgot capture sharpening in first place and i also used a different output sharpening , used the settings for another but different image .

Hope i will find time shortly to overcome that

Hi Andreas - I sort of like this as a high key image but would also like to see the "standard" image as well. I like the image design/comp. Agree with Dumay on the sharpening.

Hi Andreas - I prefer the color version. Nice tones to the surrounding grasses. I like the ratio of sky to subject and environs too.

    Thanks for posting the color,
    Rachel

I really like the colour version. It has more punch in my opinion. I might even go a tad darker for my own taste. Nice one Andreas!

    Hello Andreas,

I take it you are having a nice week-end?

Love the colour version more! Comp is great, OP looked a bit washed-out to me, RP has great colours and the sharpness is there, good framing and presentation Mr B.E.!!!!

    Kind regards,
    Gabriela Plesea

Repost of colour version is good Andreas. Sorry, sadly your OP does not really do anything for me.

Thanks folks for your feedback , much appreciated .
For sure the RP has more punch and impact , specially when compared in on thread , not fair for the OP , and i was really thinking if do this .
Each HK image will look washed out when compared to a "normal" processed /exposed image , i think only when the content is that great that it overcomes the flatness , well this is just my view .
I actually also like the color version more , but keeping the luminance as is , because light was already very bright at that location with the whitish sand .

    Cheers Andreas

    Hi Andreas,

I cannot see this one as a HK image at all, only as a nice B&W version or the normal color. All said already above about the HK, well the ones who like it I just disagree
That has nothing to do with sharpness or any, it just do not suit here, ... for me!!!

Color version is very nice and spot on

have a nice eve Ciao Anette
