Went out with Darth on the Hooptie for spoons but came back with even more !!! Always wanted Oystercatchers in flight and was able to capture several. The have eluded me in the past. They do give you warning when they are coming in but are very fast. Tried some new settings on my D3 and seem to be working well.
Comments welcome and much appreciated

Hi Roy I should have mentioned it was on the tripod. Will handhold as a last resort. I feel with enough practice you can even go after the fastest birds.
Huge Congrats!! I'm really happy that you were able to get such a solid image of an OC (oyster catcher) in flight. Not an easy task!! Great wing position and the open beak is a huge plus. I don't think it's too bright, but maybe warm up the WB (white balance).
PS: Monday was awesome! Can't wait to do it again!
