Certainly worth the hours. Beautiful kingfisher, nice background and perch. Thank you for sharing.

Wow! Amazing shot. Perky pose, fish, light, exposure, bg. All top notch. Evicting the specular highlights on the beak might be an option if aren't opposed to cloning.

Great shot of a hard to photograph bird. I had one fly over my head last weekend, but he was too fast for me to get him.

    Vanessa,
Excellent image. Very nice pose with cocked tail. I like the tiny feet, crest, water droplets, colors and beautiful BG.
If mine and wish it was, would crop silver line on the top to keep him bit up in the frame.

    Regards,
    Satish.

A beauty. Congratulations on capturing such a tough bird. Good pose, perch, background. I especially like the raised tail.

Very appealing image here with a nice alert perky pose. Proudly showing of its' catch. A small detail that I really appreciate here is the small beads of water on the chest and belly. I only wish it would have placed the near foot on the little knob next to it. Boy oh boy I wish this was mine!

One of the best Belted KF shot I've seen! Everything looks good. Excellent pose, perch, BG, exposure, details and colors. Wish this was mine!

Hi Vanessa, lovely light in this, and I really like the proud pose of the KF showing off his catch. Nice clean perch, and smooth BG.

How do you know the difference of the sexes with these guys ? Is this a male or female?

Unlike most birds , in KF the female is more colourful. This is a male. Fantastic capture, BTW.
