    Grand loking bird Gail
Looks ok to me and I like the band of grass /rush(whatever ) which breaks the BG up. Just that one upright stem below the chest !!!
    Excellent

    Terrific looking bird and habitat.
The bird is perfect, the FG is maybe just a tad over sharpened?
The mid ground grasses make the photo for me..
    Very nice.

Magnificent image of beautiful bird, Gail. Great natural setting. Beautiful perch with greenery, violets and dried grass behind him.
Nice pose with beautiful colors, I like the food still on his beak. Seeing this bird for the first time. TFS.
    Love the frame.

    Regards,
    Satish.

Beautiful shot of this guy in breeding plumage, with a terrific pose. The foreground tundra adds greatly to the image. I'm of two minds about what I assume is a morsel of food; it's at once both interesting and a tad distracting from the lovely bird.

Really nice image. I like the rock/grass perch. The bird is perfectly sharp. In some image the middle grass could have been a distracting element but on this image I really like it.

Great looking frame of this cool looking little bird with a perfect HA and side profile. Lots of nice colors in this one. I really like the tuft of greens he is standing on and the grasses in the BG. Your usual nice techs and feather details round off a very nice frame of this species. I think the prey item is small enough and obscure enough that it does't add to the image. Probably the placement in the beak, would look better if he were holding in the tip of his beak. Well done Gail

I love the perky pose with slightly raised feathers, and the fantastic perch is well, fantastic! Great colours, details, processing. I do like the grasses, but to me they are a bit too bright...I'd darken them a bit if mine.

Hi Gail, excellent light, and IQ, and just love the eye level angle here. The feather detail is really nice and sharp, and I like the colours on the bird. Comp works well with just enough foliage in the lower part of the frame.

Striking image, Gail. Beautiful bird and you have captured all the details so well. I don't mind the food in beak at all. The green plants he is standing on, with purple buds, and the lighter windswept grasses in BG are excellent.

very nice Gail, I like the inclusion of enviroment and the details, plus the low angle.
