    Stunning shot Bill. I like the way you've nailed the exposure so that the tiny ripples in the white feathers on the back of the wings are so clearly defined. Was this taken from a boat or a rocky islet or?---he must have nicked your ear as he went by.

    I really like the incoming pose and the lovely light on the eider. IQ of oeder very nice as well.
    I must admit I find the BG a bit distracting and would look at cropping some off the top to reduce the impact.

    Excellent incoming flight pose you have captured. Superb IQ, beautiful colors and great details on bird.
    I like the Gail's suggestion about crop. Another way to reduce the impact by desaturation of BG. I tried looks good.

    Was originally impressed with timing which shows the power of the Eider.
    However repost is a significant improvement in light and bird's position in the frame.
