If you ever were shooting a large flock of mixed songbirds, (Horned Larks and Snow Buntings)
you know how difficult it is to separate one.
    Thanks for looking.

Yes , I know how difficult it is Karl, but you nailed this one. Fantastic details on the bird and I love how it contrasts with the BG. Maybe a wee bit off the bottom. Well done and thanks for sharing

These guys and the Snow Buntings are fun to photograph. You got nice light here, and a perfect head angle to splash that light on it. Good exposure, nice and sharp details. I like the clean fresh snow. I could go with less FG as per William...maybe about half of it.

Very good capture, Karl. Nice handling of the harsh light and reflective snow. A bonus having the snow reflect fill light on bird. Well done. Can empathize with isolating one bird, at least with a small flock of Horned Larks, a couple of weeks ago.

I like this one Karl, very nice subject and well controlled details. Good head angle, arguably a little off the bottom for me, but not too much

Great shot Karl. Hard to get one of these guys to sit still when they're in a mixed flock. The only thing that would make it better to me is if the snow in the foreground were more pristine (flat).

    Thank you all.
As suggested by most of you, I trimmed the bottom a bit.

Karl you have got a great job with the snow, like it's broken texture, colours ,sharpness, and detail all spot on, very nice work.
