For a change, here's a Bosque image from a couple years ago.

Does the shadow under the far wing bug you?

    All comments appreciated.
    Thanks

    Hey Sid,
The shadow doesn't bug me at all but the double blurred catch light in the eye does. Gives the impression of the head being soft even though it isn't. Great looking wing position and I like the calling pose with the tongue showing. Sweet BG color too.
    Well done Sid.

I immediately spotted that double catchlight then noticed David's post. Agree, I'd remove it. Shadow, not a problem. Colors are lovely as is pose of the goose. Nice one, Sid.

I also immediately noticed the double catch light in the eye but don't feel as though it's a deal breaker if you're not into altering images. Love the wing position and esp the calling pose.

I think this is a beautiful image, and doesn't need much. I'd add some saturation, but very little. I'm sure those white feathers are tough to expose, but they look good on my screen. And the image is sharp from end to end.

Can't fault it ! Perfect exposure and open bill adds to it.

Hi Sid, excellent exposure on this fellow, and love the flight pose - full downstroke wings, open beak, and how the head is ' leaning' forward with excitement. Gotta love that BG. Catchlights mentioned, and shadows all good.

I'll be honest and say that I spotted the shadow before reading your question. It's not bad, really, but it would have been excellent without it. Not much you can do, and I would still be more than really happy to have this in my files. I love the open bill, BG, exposure, overall IQ.

Excellent flight shot with a perfect pose, beautiful background and excellent exposure. The open beak takes this to the top. Well done, Sid!
