    Default Killdeer

I've been visiting the same spot for this killdeer for quite awhile until last week when he decided to get pretty close to me for a few shots. 400mm F5.6 ss1/2500 ISO-400.

Hi Binh. Is this a captive bird?

I like the composition though many folks will say the tail is too close to the edge.

Some of the whites are really bright relative to the rest of the image, but there is still plenty of detail that you can easily recover with a multiply layer or any of several other methods.

A lower angle would lessen the impact of many of the little sticky-uppy bits.

I'm curious like Jim as to why you've posted here? I'd say we'll keep it here for now as I'm afraid that it would be too far down the list to be viewed if I moved it now. It's a very nice detailed Killdeer. His habitat isn't the most attractive.......but it is what it is. The whites are a little warm......but I'm still seeing detail in them and as Jim has stated......more detail can be recovered. Nice colors....and that eye is wonderful.

Thank you Jim and Lana. Your inputs are dead on. It can use a little more of white recovery.

Lana, thanks I accidently posted in a wrong section. If you be so kind and move this topic to a appropriate section.

    Thanks!
