    I found this friend who posed for me in December at Circle B Bar Reserve. Comments and critique welcomed and appreciated. Thank you for viewing.

    Nikon D7000
    Nikon 80-400mm F/4.5-5.6 VRII AF-S ED shot at 400mm (600mm FFE)
    1/1000 F/5.6 Matrix Metering 0 EV ISO 400
    Post processed in Lightroom 5 and Photoshop Elements 10
    Cropped for composition, smoothed and blended a couple spot in the background, removed a misplaced branch and blade of grass

    Like the soft light and the oof yellow flowers in the BKGR. Pointing the lens a bit more to the left after focusing would have yielded a stronger composition.

    The very pretty BG really sets off the egret beautifully.
    The soft diffuse light has made your exposure on the whites perfect.

    I like the exposure, setting, sharpness, HA and OOF flowers compliment the yellows on the Egret. A little tight on the top for me but that is personal preference. Well done Joe.

    Different to see such sharp focus on a relatively "busy" FG and then a dropoff to a fairly distant BG. Not a criticism, just something that stands out as a little unusual, to me. Nice detail in the bird -- not always easy with whites.
