A boring perch (by Costa Rican standards), but always nice to have two birds on a perch

    Tripod, fill flash

Forgot to mention that this was at a pre-made setup where bananas were used as an attractant.

Lovely birds with great head angles & a nice, clean BG. Good use of flash. TFS.

Hi Sidharth. Nice placement of the birds -real posers !! Teeny bit more in the background would do it for me. It might be my new monitor but the birds look a little bright especially i the head area. Very nice though/

    Hey Sid,
Great looking double poses on these cute little birds. Perfect eye contact. Looks like it just rained on them or they both just had a bath. The techs and details look great and I like the perch and that smooooth green BG :)
    Well done Buddy

Hey Sid, awesome image with great birds and a complimentary head turn. IQ looks good and you couldnt have asked for better head turns. Well done!

    This is awesome Sid!
Love the 2 sharp birds with great look back poses and the lovely BG.
I never use flash ( mostly because I don't know how to and I dislike the flashed look)) but seeing your images makes me rethink my position.
The picture doesn't look like you used any flash at all. Great DOF as well.
You are getting some killer shots from this trip. Keep them coming!

Hey Sid, love the symmetrical poses of both parakeets looking at each other, and just love the different greens all over the image. You managed to capture excellent feather detail, both sharp, and your use of fill flash is so subtle. Well captured.

Love the comp and associated symmetry here Sidharth, the perch maybe boring by CR standards, but the BG is clean (unlike a lot of CR birding images) and would be happy to have this.
Good use of fill flash also, what were your settings here?

I'm looking forward to my CR trip late April.

    TFS

Thanks for viewing and commenting every one. Appreciate you taking the time.
Marc, I'll look up and post flash settings when I get home. My guess is -2 2/3 in ETTL.

Excellent image, Sidharth. Every thing has been already said.
Love the (almost) mirror image of beautiful parakeets and color pallet.

    Regards,
    Satish.
