Hi Ben, excellent light and IQ here, and you have captured a super pose and HA. Good DOF on the big fellow, and the feather detail shows up nicely. I like the hint of clouds in the BG.

I agree with Stuart in that the subject, perch, and clouds look great. Comp-wise I'd have the bird a little less centered by cropping in slightly from the right and allowing a little more room on the left.

Majestic pose of this striking raptor, Ben. Like the light, head turn, and if it are mine I would build a bit more detail in the darker shaded ares, feathers front of neck, center of back, rear foot and legging.

I like the pose and feather display on the head, nice and sharp and also like the color and details on the perch. Well done!

Beautiful shot, and the light is sublime. I love the way the light graduates from the head down towards the tail.

A genuine contender for a place on anyones wall

Beautiful image. The sharpness seen on the feathers is oustanding. I would like to see another version with just a bit more room around.

Wow Ben, that's an amazing image. I've been trying to get a good shot of a Tawny for some time now and haven't been able to come close to anything like this yet. The only possible improvement I could think of would be a background other than the sky but you can't choose the eagle's perch can you... Nice one!

Great look at this Eagle and I like the raised hackels showing all the nice feather detail. Exposure, comp, perch and BG all look good to me. Well done
