A juvenile Ring-billed Gull nestles comfortably on the fresh snow along the riverbank. No doubt it wanted a morsel of the bread I had brought for the ducks! It did eventually get rewarded too....

I like the low angle, IQ, details in the whites, BG, HA and composition. Very well done Daniel.

    Spectacular portrait, Daniel Sir,
Absolutely superb exposures and details in whites, great low shooting angle, beautiful lights and composition.

Super portrait Dan, lovely subtle colours and you nailed the exposure! Out of interest, why did you choose a portrait? I would love to see the whole bird (if you have one in the same terrain)

A lovely, intimate shot of this juvie. I like the comp as presented, although I'm sure there might be other options.

    Thanks guys!

    Richard, a few reasons:

    - I love close ups and portraits and almost always try to get some of those if the situation permits.
    - I have so many gull pictures, that I like to try different stuff / compositions with them
    - The area behind the gull was not as pretty :-)

Excellent shot, Dan! The exposure is spot on as usual. Love the light, composition and IQ. TFS
