I am now getting used to my 7D Mkii. After using the 5D Mkiii for a while, I found the 7D Mkii 'different'. I am now getting the 'feel' for this camera and hope to be using it more in the future.

Only a mallard here, but I liked the pose he gave me. Captured this month at Loch Morlich, Cairngorm on a rare sunny day.

    Thanks for having a look.

Pretty subject and pretty light. IQ looks good. Only problem is that the bright rocks in the BG are a little distracting.

Lovely pose and expression from the mallard!
The position of the bird is also nice for the angle of the light coming from the right.
The rocks in the BG are a bit distractive with the light hitting them and the similar tones to the mallard

Nice warm light, and I like the full "rounded" pose. The open bill adds to the pose (but I can't help but feel the bill could be more saturated). I like the way the subject is standing atop the rock. I too feel the lit rocks in the BG are a bit too prevalent though.

William agree about the b/g but the Drake itself looks very good with the water droplets on the breast.
