    Default Colourful Cape Shoveler

As this Shoveler swam past the hide at a wetlands in Cape Town, I couldnt resist this colourful setting of the water. In certain areas, reflections from building on the opposite side of the water create these colours. Taken late afternoon.

Stuart it was worth the wait to get colours on the water like this, beady eyed duck looks nice and sharp and full of detail.

I always love unusual color reflections in the water!
Nice IQ and light. You also got a slight head turn which is always nice!
I think this needs a degree of CW rotation.

Beautiful light and a great looking bird. Excellent eye contact and sharpness. A bit of CW rot?

Beautiful colors, lovely bird nicely shown. I know of the reflections from buildings. Lake Mirror in Lakeland, Florida has those reflections early morning from the surrounding buildings. Thank you for sharing Stuart.

Interesting image Stuart. I like the water colour, low angle, sharpness, HA and the eye colour matches the just visible submerged foot.

What a striking looking duck Stuart and I love that piercing yellow eye. Great looking feather pattern on this species and the details look perfect, but the BG is the base for such a striking frame. Well scene and captured.
