    Hi,

I made this image of Jungle Bushquail in last monsoon in Bangalore. Light was fading fast, hence used a larger ISO..

    EXIF as below..

    Canon 500mm f/4 + 1.4X II TC on Canon 5D Mark III
    Aperture priority
    f/8, 1/640, ISO-1000

Comments & Critics are most welcome..

Hi Subbu, I like the low angle and inquisitive pose, and I do like the colourful feather detail. I quite like your pano crop.

Very nice. I have never seen an image of this bird on BPN so a nice treat to see it.
    Nice colors. Nice POV
I find the green in the BG quite overwhelming and I would desaturate it by lifting the exposure first and if not enough then desaturating the green.
Composition is always a personal taste thing but I could see a version with some off the right.

Very interesting looking bird. Like all the feather detail and nice catchlight. Green BG works well with the warm tones on the bird.

I like the awesome bird (didn't knew it), IQ, POV and landscape crop. I do like the clean green BG, but agree that it's a bit overwhelming. Good work!!!

ISO of 1000 is nothing for the 5d3. Great looking bird, agree that the green tends to dominate the frame. Looking forward to more of your images.

Thank you all. Really encouraging words !!! I prefer pano crop over 4:3 mainly because I view these photos either on my MAC or iPad, or my S4.. all these devices have aspect ratio of 16:9 and pano crop really look good on these screens.... Thanks again for your kind words..

Lovely low angle and beautiful details. For me the pano would have worked better if the head had been parallel to the back of the camera. As is, I would crop from the right and add to the top.
I'm not on a calibrated monitor right now, but having lived through many Indian monsoons, the greens look like they should to me.
ISO 1000 is a walk in the park for the 5D3. A very lovely image. Looking forward to more.

PS: I would have liked if the bird's left eye was either fully visible or not visible at all. Ideal for me would have been head parallel to back of the camera.
