    I spotted this little lass sitting quietly in the tropical forest, down the road from Black Rock Lodge in Belize. I didn't post this back last February when it was shot, I guess because the IQ suffers a little from the high ISO. But I was pleased just to see this bird, and to capture her complete with "white whiskers". Cropped from horizontal. Toned down highlights in the bg, and applied a bit of blur.

    D7000, 500f4 + 1.4, ISO 2500, 1/400s @ f/7.1 manual, fill flash @ -1.7 EV

    I like the bird, the pose, and the image design. The BKGR ain't bad either. It looks as if you could pull the curve up a bit.

    Hi Bill, I like the angled pose, and great DOF on the bird. You have brought out the detail nicely, and I like your choice of comp.

    What a beauty she is, Bill. Like the soft light and nice BG. I think you did well with post work. Personally I would split the difference between the OP and RP.
