    This gull was standing on a frozen lake. Not sure which species of gull this is. C&C welcome.

    Canon 7D. 100-400 L. 1/1000 @ f 6.3. ISO 400.

    Looks like a winter adult Black-headed Gull. Sharp with a nice image design. You might try toning down the REDS especially of the bill a bit as they look a bit funky. Try adding 40 points of MAGENTA to the REDs in Selective Color.

    Hi David, good head on capture here, showing the open beak with good eye contact. I agree the reds look a touch oversaturated.
