    Going through some of my old D600 shots and found this guy. Pigeons are a challenging BIF target and there's lots of them around for practice and they are really a very colourful bird when you look closely, as we do with a lens. I got the whole bird wing tip to wing tip in this frame but am smitten with this close-up "look 'em in the eye" view.
    D600,AF-S VR 70-300, ISO 200,0 ev,f/9.5,1/1000,about a 50% crop.

    I have to admit, they sure are everywhere and I've never taken the time to photograph one for practice (although maybe I should!).

    It looks like the IQ here is a bit lacking, but the overall presentation is really nice. I like the look of the crop. If you have more, post em!

    I've got lots more but here's one of the more interesting ones Miguel-They really have beautiful iridescent colours in the sun. A crop down to just the oncoming bird is interesting here too.
