I was longing for this moment quite a long and then lately that day I got this.
We were waiting in the boat... trying to capture the flamingos.... I saw this gull with fish which he was trying to eat.
Was able to get this decent shot. All C & C are most welcome.

    ISO - 320, 1/400 , Canon 7d, Canon 100-400 IS USM f 4.5 - 5.6, No flash used, Little corpping has been done.

    Shantanu:

Your patience was rewarded with a fun/dynamic capture. The flying water, good view of the fish, works very well.

There is a slight blue tint on the bird, and I would warm the WB up just a bit. The bird is also a bit CW rotated based on the ripples, so a bit of a CCW rotation would be an option.

I have warmed the WB by +4 in LR, and rotated the image CCW. Just a couple of options for you to consider.

Hopefully you have some flamingo images to share as well!

    Cheers

Pretty neat action. I too like the flying water, but I especially like the ripples below the bird and towards the lower left corner. Randy's repost addresses a couple of issues nicely. I do think your image is also a tad contrasty.

    Thanks a lot Daniel.
Can you please guide on how to remove a blue/purple line which comes many times in my photos while taking the pictures of white feathered birds or when the bacgrond is white and I am shooting the black bird.
