    Another from the evening of perfect light (sun on clear horizon just before it touched the horizon) and from the right angle (with boardwalk postion and wind direction that was lucky); however, I didn't have quite enough lens (40% crop). Even though I didn't quite need the ISO 800, even the noise (in the darker areas) would have been minimal with more pixels on this beauty.

    David I know what you mean about the crop but I like the overall pose and colour/light. Without the head turn it wouldn't have had the same impact.

    David,

    Nothing easy about getting Least Terns in flight but I would have preferred this dive about a second later as that might have seen the wings fully extended and the right wing not obscured by the tail. Of these types of images I think I like the underbelly side best with the feet tucked in.
