Default Barred Owl in Flight II

This is another image of one of the adult owls. This was the only day they hunted from the sunny side of the road. This owl flew down to catch a crawdad and flew to the shady side of the road to eat it. The parents had been feeding the owlettes all morning and I believe the adult needed a break.

Nice exposure, IQ and wing position. It's just a shame that he has just passed by you, some milliseconds sooner would be nicer. Nonetheless it's a very nice picture!

In a perfect world, the wings would be either more raised or lowered - either would work for me. I'd have to suggest lowering the saturation of the greens in the BG as well, a little too distracting for my taste.

However, all that said, I still like the shot, the wing position is what it is, and still provides a really nice flight shot

Great job on a not so easy capture. Love how the owl pops against that green BG. I might be tempted to tone down the BG just a tad b/c I feel it is a bit overpowering, and I don't like to see the spotlight taken away from your owl.

You are killing me with your owl series.
I do not think the owl is past you at all.
Good IQ and nice and sharp.
I have to admit this is not my favorite wing position but I do like the spread wing tips.
Agree that desaturating the greens in the BG is a good idea,

I would tone down the BG, but a nice flight photo of this Owl...

Great flight shot of the barred owl. I like how the background is nicely differentiated from the bird by color, but still is in focus enough to give the bird some context.
